Four weeks into it

Well, after four weeks I have to say I still like it. lol

The commute every day is long, stressful and really not so nice, but I'm way more relaxed and at ease during the weekends than I have ever been. I found myself dancing to Queen's 'Another one bites the dust' yesterday morning in the kitchen while preparing breakfast. I never felt that way in the last 10 years (that's how long ago I started studying law).

I finally have a routine in my life. I get up every day at the same time (yeah, ok 4 a.m. is really early), I already know half of the people on the train every morning, I ran stairs up and down to catch trains and busses, I know what I'm up to at work, I finally can handle the new computer program after the training course last week and I'm working really hard on losing the feeling that I'm NOT only an intern. lol

But I think that will take some time. Maybe after a couple months and when I have my own clients that feeling will vanish. I was a intern for the last two years. I somehow got used to that feeling.

The next two weeks I will take over for one of my colleagues and handle her clients, because she is on vacation ("nice")...on a cruise ship ("great")...in the Caribbean ("take me with you!!!")....unfair, I know. I told her to bring some sun back.

I'm looking forward to get a car though. I will be way more flexible than by train and bus. Can't wait to get my first full payment for February and go to the bank. Maybe I'm lucky and I will own my own wheels by end of March.

Keeping my fingers crossed!

First negativ thing...

... with the new job: there's no way I will be able to watch the Superbowl live.

It starts here around 2 a.m. and I have to get up around 4/4:30 a.m. I wonder if it's possible for me to avoid the result for 24 hours and watch the recording tomorrow evening when I'm home from work. But I doubt it. The Superbowl made it even into our news here. Though the things they were saying weren't correct. I really wish just once a german sports journalist would sit down and do a little research about American Football before reporting about it. The non-sense and horrifying explanations I got in those last years when watching or reading about football was shocking.

Anyway, I wish I could take tomorrow off and stay home. I did it the last two years, but this time I only worked for two weeks so I didn't even consider it. I think my boss wouldn't really like it.

So, I will try to stay away from the media and hope to be surprised tomorrow night.

GO BRONCOS!!!!
