Tour Break

Well, we are two months in Tour so far. Last night was the show in D.C. and some of you are still crawling home. ;)

When the Tour started and Jon said they would also play songs from albums before 'Slippery when wet', I got excited like probably all of you. But I also got suspicious. Maybe it comes with the profession I've choosen, I don't know...anyway, I asked myself how I should keep track of it.

I mean, we get the set list and then we all go crazy when we see an 'old' song on it, but could you remember if it was played on this Tour before? Maybe when you were at this particular show, but not when you are only seeing them via internet and YT.

So, I decided to make a list. Yeah, I know others of you are doing it as well, but this is my blog, so I can post my list. ;)

We have 24 shows, including the Hawaii shows and not counting the Matinee in Philly.

Before you start counting they played 60 different songs (counting Medley songs with Bad Medicine singely.) So, when I remember correctly Richie said in an interview that Jon sent them a list of 70 songs to prepare for this Tour. That could mean we are still in for 10 other songs, hopefully from some of the older albums.

The Top 10 of this list isn't really surprising, we have four songs from the current album - it's The Circle Tour after all - one song from 'Lost Highway', one from 'Have a nice day' and of course the classics 'Prayer', 'Wanted', 'Bad Name', 'Born to be my Baby' and actually 'Bad Medicine', if you wouldn't split it up in the different combos.

The Song Count per Album looks like this:

The Circle
09
New Jersey
08
Lost Highway
05
Keep the Faith
04
Slippery when wet
04
Bon Jovi
04
Have a nice Day
03
Crush
03
These Days
03
Box Set
02
Cross Road
02
Fahrenheit
02

In love with Firefox

Normally I get pissed about updates and new adds, because they cost time! Time to tell my computer I don't care about that stupid stuff and I want it the way I have it for already years. I'm very quirky when it comes down to that.

But this new version of firefox had something nice to play with....personas. Little banners or pics that make the boring toolbar interesting...or in my case rocking! I couldn't resist a nicely created Bon Jovi banner with a pic from the Bounce era. Now the four Jersey Boys are looking at me all the time...not sure how that will effect my working though....Oh, who cares...Let It Rock!!!

Monday Morning Eye Candy

I know I'm a Johnny Girl, but after seeing the pics of the Montreal Shows last night, I had to post this one. This smile is simply infectious. Something we all need on a Monday morning! Enjoy!

Gotta Love My Mom

I spent the last four days with my parents and dad sure had a birthday he won't forget. I never saw him more shocked/ surprised when my mother told him: "Honey, we need 300 Euro."

'We' would be me and my mom. "For what?" Not a worried or shocked face so far, but more a look of satisfaction that she was (more or less - face it she was not really doing it lol) asking him and not just taking his credit card. lol

"The Scorpions are on their last Tour, we will attend their concert in Hamburg in November." 'We' in this case would be me and my parents. Yes, she is sweet enough to take him with us. lol I didn't say anything. My Mom asked me if I would like to go...gotta love her!!

I swear I heard the *thud* after Mom's explaination! He had this look on his face; it clearly read 'I'm not going to a rock show!' Poor Daddy, he never was really into to good old rock and roll. Mom on the other hand introduced me to The Stones, KISS, Alice Cooper (and yes with eight years I was shocked and didn't listen to him again until last year! lol) and The Scorpions.

Somehow my Mom seemed to sense that poor Daddy wasn't really into it ... (Mommy voice!): "They are succesful for more than 30 years worldwide, they are great, they are from Germany, we never saw them...WE WILL GO!"

I really had to pinch myself not to start laughing. They are so great and know exactly how to play to get what they want after 34 years of marriage. Dad saw his last chance "What weekday is the 19th November?" And I could hear him praying 'Don't be a weekend. Don't be a weekend.'

"It's a Friday!"

Ding Ding. And this one goes to MOM! lol

"Ok, we go." Poor Daddy sounded really beaten. I promised him beer during the concert. lol

I ordered the tickets about an hour ago. Can't wait to get them!!

This is nuts!

I always knew I study in a city where most people don't wanna live or better can't anymore, because the won't find a job around here. But I'm not sure this is the best way to find tenants for the free apartments!

Though it looks cool at night!
